Dos And Don’ts Of Getting Your Ex Back

The breakup of relationship is never easy but it’s particularly hard on the partner that is still in love. If this has happened to you, most likely you spend a large part of your waking hours plotting ways to get your ex back. You can take heart in knowing that it may not be quite as difficult to do as you think. In fact, a lot of times all you have to do is stop doing what destroyed the relationship in the first place. If you can do that along with beginning to do things to attract your ex back, it may be a done deal. First, you need to know the things NOT to do if you really want your ex back.

Don’t chase your ex. This is one of the worst things you can do. Chasing your ex through phone calls, texts, emails or tracking through your mutual friends will only make your ex start being afraid of you. This behavior can also make you hated.

Avoid stalking your ex. Another huge mistake in trying to get your ex back is stalking him or her. If you try forcing contact through ambush tactics, all hope will be lost to resurrect this relationship.
Depression doesn’t help. If you allow depression to take over your life, all you’ll be doing is losing everything. Your friends will start avoiding you eventually and there will be no hope of getting your ex back.

Keep up a social life. Hermits are scary and if you crawl into a deep, black hole because of your breakup, you’re only sentencing yourself to a long and lonely life. How will you show your ex what he or she is missing if you’re not out socializing?

Now, you know what you should NOT do if you want to get your ex back, it‘s time to look at some proactive measures that just might revive your relationship.

Create more self-value. Many times relationships end because the ex didn’t value the relationship or their partners enough to stay. If you want to get your ex back, you need to create more self-value. For example, let your ex hear about all the people you’re now dating.
Stay in touch with your ex. This may be a bit painful, but you should stay in touch with your ex. If you don’t think you can handle talking, try email or texting. This can help remind your ex of the good times in your relationship. It’s also a sign that you’re willing to reconcile.

Give yourself a new look. Sometimes when you’re in a relationship for a while, it makes you start letting yourself go a bit. If that’s true of you, you can start working out, get a new hairstyle, and buy some great clothes. This not only makes you LOOK better but you’ll feel better, too. Your new look may blow your ex away.

Let your ex look for you. Don’t do the chasing. If you do all the other things on this list, your confidence will be restored and your ex may be very attracted by that.
