If you are past the point in your life when going out and partying is over and you feel the need to be more responsible and settle down the woman you find must fit into your life seamlessly.

You need someone you will be comfortable with and who you can see yourself growing old with. She should be strong yet soft and tender. She should be responsible yet fun loving. She should be good with children. Maybe you even want someone who knows how to cook so you can share kitchen duties. Most of all she should feel good about herself and not bring a lot of baggage to the relationship.

All of these things go for you, too. Any woman will not stand for a man who thinks he can go to work then come home and sit in front of the television with a beer in his hand. Are you secure enough in yourself at this point to be the man she needs you to be? You want to get wife not a mommy.

If you are serious about finding a mate then you first need to sit down and figure out what is important to you in a woman. Make a list of traits you like and don’t like. You may have to compromise on some of the things on your list but if you get a pretty good match then do not sweat the small stuff.

Attraction is key. If you are physically and emotionally attracted to the woman you choose so much the better. If you have good chemistry this means you will be able to work well together in almost every situation and be able to make the relationship last.

You should look for a woman who has the same level of intelligence you do. This is important because you do not want to ever feel outdone by your spouse. Marriage is not a competition but you do want someone around who you can talk to intelligently and work together to resolve any issues that come up.

One of the first things a couple should do when they decide to share their lives together should be the handling of the money that comes into the house. Determine what both your spending habits are like and what, if any, changes to those habits need to be made. Make a household budget right away and stick to it giving each one of you a steady, weekly allowance if need be.

A lot of people still hold strong feelings and values about religion and if these do not match up between you then there could be problems down the road when it comes to making decisions about how the children are raised.

Honesty and trust are of the utmost importance in a relationship, if you are about to find a way to get wife then you must find someone who shares these same traits.
